Question 1

How compact is this shovel when folded, and will it fit in a car trunk?

Accepted Answer

The manufacturer lists the compact size as 9" W x 22" L x 2" H, and reviewers confirm it fits in a car trunk without taking up much space. One reviewer specifically noted it stores easily in the trunk without getting in the way.

Question 2

Is the shovel sturdy enough to handle hard or icy snow?

Accepted Answer

Reviewers report it handled a large pile of icy east coast snow and frozen snow without breaking, with one noting it proved more durable than it initially seemed. The listing describes it as heavy duty and built to handle the toughest snowstorms.

Question 3

How much does the shovel weigh?

Accepted Answer

The listing states it weighs just 2 lbs, and reviewers describe it as light enough to use without feeling heavy or uncomfortable.

Question 4

How long is the shovel when extended, and is the handle length comfortable?

Accepted Answer

The listing gives an extended length of 34.25", and one reviewer measured it at 34 1/4 inches. Multiple reviewers note the handle is short, requiring bending over, which they consider an expected tradeoff for a compact foldable car shovel.

Question 5

Is it easy to fold and unfold?

Accepted Answer

Reviewers describe it as super easy to fold and extend/collapse, with a nice quality feel to the mechanism and locking bearings, and easy to unfold and refold.
