Question 1

Will this channel fit my 10mm wide LED strip, and can I cut it to length?

Accepted Answer

Yes, this V-shape channel has an inner width of about 10.5mm, so most 10mm strips slide in with room to spare. The aluminum profile can be cut with a fine-tooth hacksaw or miter saw to any custom length. Many Reddit DIYers confirm it works well for standard strip widths—just measure your strip width before ordering to ensure a snug fit.

Question 2

The end caps seem loose—do I need to use glue?

Accepted Answer

You’re not alone in noticing this. Several users mention that the included plastic end caps are a snug push-fit but may not stay in place permanently without a dab of super glue or clear silicone. For a secure finish, we recommend adding a tiny amount of adhesive inside the cap grooves before pressing them on. This is a quick fix that ensures no light leaks and keeps the caps from popping off during handling.

Question 3

How many mounting clips are included, and do I need extras for longer runs?

Accepted Answer

Each pack of 12 channels comes with matching mounting clips—typically one clip per channel. For a standard 3.3-foot (1m) length, one center clip is usually enough for straight runs. However, if you’re mounting a long continuous line or expect vibration (e.g., under a car or shelf), TikTok installers suggest adding one clip every 12–18 inches. Extra clips are sold separately if needed.

Question 4

Is the black finish durable, or will it scratch or peel?

Accepted Answer

The black finish is a powder-coated layer applied to the extruded aluminum, which holds up well against normal handling and cleaning. It resists scratching better than painted surfaces. That said, if you cut the channel, you will see raw aluminum at the cut edge—this is normal and can be touched up with black paint or left as is since it’s often hidden by the end caps. Multiple reviewers note it still looks professional after months of use.

Question 5

What should I do if the diffuser cover doesn’t snap on evenly?

Accepted Answer

If the milky white cover isn’t sitting flush, check that the channel edges are clean and free of debris. Sometimes the cover requires firm, even pressure along its entire length—start from one end and press down gradually. If gaps persist, a small amount of double-sided tape on the channel flange can help hold the cover in place. This is a common tip from YouTube tutorials and usually solves the issue without needing replacement parts.
