Question 1

Does this kitchen mat help with foot, knee, leg, and back discomfort from standing for long periods?

Accepted Answer

Yes. The manufacturer states the soft PVC foam provides support and comfort while relieving pressure on muscles and joints and alleviating foot, knee, leg, and back discomfort, and reviewers report it helps relieve their feet and back when standing at the counter baking or standing all day.

Question 2

Is the mat easy to clean?

Accepted Answer

Yes. The listing says the water-resistant surface deters dust and debris and can be wiped with a wet cloth, vacuumed, or swept, and reviewers describe it as easy to clean and note it keeps water off the floor from dishwashing splashes.

Question 3

Does the mat stay in place, or does it slide around?

Accepted Answer

The listing says the diamond-shaped design on the bottom keeps the mat in place and prevents slippage, and the bevel edge reduces tripping risk; however, one reviewer reported the mat moves too much and would not stay in front of the stove and sink.

Question 4

Does the mat have a chemical smell or creases when it first arrives?

Accepted Answer

One reviewer noted a weird chemical smell right out of the packaging that dissipated fairly quickly, and that the mat did not lay perfectly flat until books were placed on it for a couple of days. The listing advises opening the rug fully on an even, flat, dry floor and using a hairdryer on a warm setting to remove folds quickly.

Question 5

How thick is the mat?

Accepted Answer

The listing gives an item thickness of 0.75 inches and dimensions of 28"L x 17.3"W x 0.8"Th. One reviewer noted that the larger size needed by the shower was thicker than they preferred, while the smaller one by the sink was a nicer thickness.
