Question 1

How can I be 100% sure this filter basket will fit my espresso machine?

Accepted Answer

This is the most critical step! This basket is designed for specific 51mm portafilters, often found on machines like the Delonghi EC series. Please do not rely on the '51mm' measurement alone. Check your existing portafilter's shape and locking lugs against the product images. Many TikTok and Reddit users emphasize that a "51mm" basket from one brand may not fit another's portafilter due to subtle design differences.

Question 2

I'm new to non-pressurized baskets. Is this difficult to use?

Accepted Answer

It's a rewarding upgrade but requires a slight learning curve. Unlike pressurized baskets, you'll need a proper espresso grind and consistent tamping pressure. Don't worry—it's normal for the first few shots to be imperfect. As one YouTube reviewer put it, "Once you dial it in, the difference in flavor is night and day." We recommend searching for a tutorial for your specific machine model to get started.

Question 3

Is the stainless steel durable, or does it feel cheap?

Accepted Answer

The basket is made from food-grade stainless steel, which is rust-resistant and easy to clean. While a small number of users mentioned it feels lighter than expected, the overwhelming consensus in reviews is that it's precisely machined and durable for daily home use. Its primary value is in its performance, delivering a significant taste improvement over stock baskets.

Question 4

What if it doesn't fit my machine? What's the return policy?

Accepted Answer

We understand compatibility is key. If the basket does not fit your machine, please contact our customer support within 30 days of delivery to initiate a return. We recommend double-checking your portafilter's compatibility before purchasing to avoid the wait, as some users have noted longer shipping times for international orders.

Question 5

Who would benefit most from buying this filter basket?

Accepted Answer

This is the perfect, cost-effective upgrade for owners of compatible entry-level espresso machines (like certain Delonghi models) who feel limited by their stock pressurized basket. If you're ready to use freshly ground coffee and want richer, more authentic espresso with better crema, this single-wall basket is designed for you. It's not recommended for absolute beginners without a burr grinder or for machines with non-standard portafilters.
