Question 1

How strong is the scent, and can I use these in my living areas?

Accepted Answer

The pouches have a potent, minty/herbal odor designed to overwhelm rodents' sensitive senses. Many users find them highly effective in well-ventilated areas like attics, garages, and sheds. However, for small, enclosed spaces like cars or closets, some find the scent too strong. We recommend starting with one pouch in such areas to test your tolerance.

Question 2

Are they truly safe to use around my pets and kids?

Accepted Answer

Yes, the pouches are made with natural, non-toxic ingredients like essential oils. They are designed to repel through scent, not poison. However, as with any non-food product, they should be placed out of reach to prevent curious pets or children from chewing on them. The strong scent itself, while safe, may be unpleasant for some.

Question 3

How many pouches do I need, and where should I place them?

Accepted Answer

For best results, place pouches in areas where you've seen signs of activity (droppings, nesting materials) or potential entry points. A common guideline from user feedback is 1-2 pouches per small room (like a shed), 3-4 for a standard garage, and several spaced throughout an attic. Ensure they are placed where the scent can disperse, not buried or blocked.

Question 4

Do they work outdoors, and how long do they last in the elements?

Accepted Answer

Yes, they are designed for both indoor and outdoor use. For outdoor areas like gardens or patios, it's best to place them under eaves, in covered storage boxes, or in other semi-protected locations to maximize their lifespan against direct rain and sun. While durable, extreme weather may slightly reduce the effective period from the advertised 3 months.

Question 5

What should I do if I stop seeing results or the scent fades?

Accepted Answer

The 3-month protection is an estimate based on ideal conditions. In high-airflow areas or outdoors, you may need to replace them sooner. If rodent activity returns, it's a signal to refresh the pouches. Many TikTok and Reddit users recommend these as part of a preventive strategy, noting that for severe infestations, they work best alongside sealing entry points.
