The CrossWave HF2 uses a dual-tank system to dispense fresh water and suck up the dirty solution, but it isn’t a dry vacuum. On hard floors, the surface will be damp for roughly 10–20 minutes, depending on humidity and air circulation. You can minimize wetness by using the “Express Clean” mode and squeezing the trigger sparingly. A quick walk behind it with a microfiber dry mop can also help prevent streaks.

The self-cleaning cycle is a great feature for maintaining the brush roll and internal path, but it's not completely hands-off. For daily maintenance, you can run the self-clean after each use.
