Question 1

Is the curtain truly clear, and does the weighted bottom actually work to stop it from blowing in?

Accepted Answer

Yes! The main feature users rave about is the clarity, which brightens up the bathroom, and the weighted hem. The three sewn-in stones at the bottom are a game-changer—they provide enough weight to keep the curtain firmly in place against the tub, effectively preventing that annoying billowing and cling.

Question 2

I've read about a plastic smell. How strong is it and what should I do?

Accepted Answer

It's a common note in reviews that the curtain may have a mild plastic odor when first unpacked, which is typical for PEVA products. The good news is it dissipates quickly. Simply unfold it and let it air out in a well-ventilated area for 24-48 hours before hanging. The smell is not permanent and does not affect performance.

Question 3

How durable is this against mildew, and is it easy to clean?

Accepted Answer

As a PEVA material, it's more mildew-resistant than standard vinyl and is easy to wipe clean. For long-term durability, especially in humid bathrooms, we recommend occasionally wiping it down and ensuring it can dry fully after use (a slightly open curtain helps). Some users in very damp climates suggest a periodic clean with a mild mildew remover as preventative maintenance.

Question 4

Will this fit my standard bathtub, and are the grommets rustproof?

Accepted Answer

Absolutely. The 72x72 inch size is designed for standard tubs. It includes 12 reinforced, rustproof grommets that align perfectly with most shower rods. Many reviewers specifically praise the grommets for showing no signs of rust, even after months of use in a steamy bathroom.

Question 5

Who is this shower curtain liner best suited for?

Accepted Answer

It's an excellent choice for anyone looking for a clear, functional liner that solves the billowing problem, particularly value-conscious shoppers, parents (for visibility and water containment), and those with smaller bathrooms who want to maximize light. If you're looking for a thick, fabric-like "luxury" liner or need maximum mildew resistance for a constantly wet environment, you might want to explore specialized alternatives.
