Is this mattress pad waterproof?

Accepted Answer

No. The manufacturer lists the water resistance level as "Not Water Resistant," and one reviewer noted it is not waterproof but knew that when selecting it.

Question 2

How thick is the padding?

Accepted Answer

It is a lightweight quilted pad rather than a plush topper. One reviewer described it as thin with about a half inch of padding at most, and another said it is not super fluffy or plush but still comfortable through the sheets.

Question 3

Will it fit a thick mattress?

Accepted Answer

The listing says the knitted fabric sides with elastic provide a secure fit on mattresses up to 18 inches deep, and one reviewer reported it fits a king bed perfectly even with a thick mattress.

Question 4

Is it machine washable, and will it shrink?

Accepted Answer

Yes, the manufacturer states it is machine wash and dry and safe for high temperatures. One reviewer reported washing and drying it with no shrinking.

Question 5

Is it hypoallergenic?

Accepted Answer

Yes. The listing describes it as a lightweight quilted mattress pad with hypoallergenic fill, ideal for allergy sufferers, and notes it is made in an OEKO-TEX Standard 100 factory.
