Question 1

Will this magnetic phone mount hold my iPhone securely during intense workouts like burpees or rowing?

Accepted Answer

Yes, for bare iPhones or those with official MagSafe cases, the magnet provides a firm grip—even during vigorous movement. However, if you use a third-party or thicker protective case, the hold may weaken. Many gym-goers on TikTok recommend testing it with your specific case first, as some silicone or textured cases reduce magnetic strength. For best results, attach the mount directly to a metal surface (e.g., treadmill frame, weight rack, or metal locker).

Question 2

Can I use this mount on non-metal surfaces like a wooden desk or glass window?

Accepted Answer

No—this mount requires a metal surface to stick. It’s designed for gym equipment, car interiors, or any ferromagnetic surface. Reddit users have noted that it won’t adhere to plastic, wood, or painted walls. If you need a versatile mount, consider pairing this with a metal adhesive plate (sold separately) to stick onto non-metal spots.

Question 3

Will the alloy base scratch my gym equipment or car paint?

Accepted Answer

The metal base is sturdy but can leave light scratches on painted or delicate surfaces, especially if you slide or reposition the mount frequently. To prevent this, a few YouTube reviewers suggest placing a thin felt pad or the included protective sticker between the mount and the surface. On rough gym frames, it’s generally safe, but car owners recommend testing on an inconspicuous area first.

Question 4

Does this work with iPhone 12-16 models that don’t have MagSafe built-in?

Accepted Answer

It works best with iPhone 12-16 models that have MagSafe (most standard models do), but it will not hold securely on older cases without built-in magnets. If your case is not MagSafe-compatible, you can attach the included metal ring (or a third-party adhesive metal plate) to the back of your case. Many customers on Reddit found this fix reliable for workout use.

Question 5

What’s the return policy if the magnet isn’t strong enough for my setup?

Accepted Answer

APPS2Car typically offers a 30-day return window for this mount, but check the seller’s policy at checkout for exact terms. If the magnet feels weak due to a thick case, you can return it—but note that compatibility issues are often resolved by using a MagSafe case or the metal ring. Customer service responses have been positive, with most users receiving a full refund for genuine defects.
