Question 1

How accurate are the sample colors and textures compared to the full-size panels?

Accepted Answer

The samples are designed to give you a highly accurate representation of the final color and finish in your own space. However, it's important to know they are made of a different material (laminate on MDF) than the solid wood slats of the full panels. This means the texture and thickness will differ. Many TikTok and Reddit users confirm the colors are extremely close, but always recommend viewing them in your room's lighting, as this can cause slight perceptual shifts.

Question 2

What do I need to install the full panels, and is it difficult?

Accepted Answer

Based on installer reviews, the full panels typically use a "tongue and groove" system and are mounted with construction adhesive and/or finishing nails to studs. The sample pack doesn't include hardware or instructions, but the process is considered straightforward for a confident DIYer. If you're unsure, checking the official Art3d installation guide or YouTube tutorials for "acoustic slat wall installation" is highly recommended before purchasing your full order.

Question 3

Can I return the sample pack if the colors aren't right for my space?

Accepted Answer

Yes, the sample pack is eligible for return under the standard return policy, provided it's in its original condition. This is a huge advantage, as noted by many reviewers who were able to try the samples risk-free. It's always best to double-check the current return window on the product page at the time of your purchase.

Question 4

Is the 5-pack enough to make a decision for a large wall, or should I order more?

Accepted Answer

For most people, the 5-pack is perfect. It allows you to tape the samples to different parts of your wall, observe them at various times of day, and even move them around to compare with furniture. As several Reddit users suggested, living with them for 2-3 days is the best way to decide. Ordering multiple packs is usually unnecessary unless you're comparing an unusually high number of specific colors side-by-side.

Question 5

I'm between two colors. Can I purchase just one or two individual samples?

Accepted Answer

Currently, individual samples are not sold separately; they are only available in this curated 5-color pack. The pack is designed to offer a range of popular, complementary tones. A common piece of advice from reviewers is to get the pack anyway—seeing all five colors together often makes the decision clearer, and you might be surprised by which one looks best in your actual lighting.
