Question 1

Is the Bearhug King Size (100" x 90") truly big enough for a standard king bed, and how well does it cover both sleepers?

Accepted Answer

Yes. At 100" x 90", it offers generous coverage for most king beds and allows two people to have individual warmth with the dual controls. You’ll typically get ample drape over the edges for cozy, shared use.

Question 2

How many heat levels are there, and will it get very hot on cold nights?

Accepted Answer

It has 10 heating levels for fine-tuned comfort. Many users find it pleasantly warm, though a few note it isn’t “blazing hot” for extremely cold nights. If you’re chilly, start around mid-to-high levels and adjust as needed.

Question 3

Are the dual controls easy to use, and can each side be heated differently?

Accepted Answer

Yes. The dual controllers let each side be set independently, which is handy for different warmth preferences. TikTok and Reddit feedback often highlights the ease of adjusting per side, with a few people mentioning initial confusion if you’re new to dual controls.

Question 4

Is it safe to use overnight, and how do the safety features work?

Accepted Answer

Absolutely. It includes multi-layer safety protections, auto-off options (1–12 hours), and ETL certification for peace of mind. For best results, place it flat on the bed surface and avoid bunching or folding while in use.

Question 5

Can I wash it, and what care does it need to stay plush and safe?

Accepted Answer

Yes, it’s machine washable. Use cold water and a gentle cycle, and follow care label directions. Some reviewers note the sherpa can lose a bit of plushness after wash cycles, so air-drying or low-heat tumble drying helps preserve the softness. If you’re concerned about wear, wash less often and store properly when not in use.
