Question 1

Is this cleaner truly safe for babies and pets if they lick the floor after cleaning?

Accepted Answer

Yes—Beco Natural Disinfectant is formulated with non-toxic ingredients, making it safe for households with kids and pets. Many parents on TikTok and Reddit have shared that they use it in play areas and kitchens without worry. For best practice, allow the floor to dry completely before letting little ones or animals roam.

Question 2

Does it leave a sticky residue or make floors slippery?

Accepted Answer

A small number of users have reported residue if too much product is used. To avoid this, always follow the dilution instructions on the bottle. For most hard floors (tile, sealed wood, vinyl), 1–2 capfuls in a bucket of water is ideal. If you’re using a spray mop, dilute it further with water. A quick final rinse with plain water can also help.

Question 3

How long does the lemongrass and basil scent actually last?

Accepted Answer

The scent is fresh and noticeable while you clean and for about 30–60 minutes after. It’s not designed to linger for hours like synthetic fragrances. Multiple YouTube reviewers noted that the natural scent dissipates faster than traditional phenyls—which some prefer, as it’s less overpowering.

Question 4

Can I use this on marble, granite, or unsealed wood?

Accepted Answer

It’s safe for sealed stone and finished wood surfaces, but we avoid it on unsealed or porous materials. For marble and granite, it’s best to test on a small hidden area first. Many users in online forums use it weekly on sealed laminate and tile without issues.

Question 5

How does the price compare to traditional floor cleaners, and is it worth it?

Accepted Answer

At first glance, a 1L bottle costs more than a bottle of bleach-based phenyl. However, because it’s concentrated (you dilute it), it goes much further. One bottle makes several buckets of cleaner. The value lies in the peace of mind—no harsh fumes, safer for kids, and a lower chemical load in your home. For daily cleaning, many parents say it’s worth the switch.
