Question 1

Will this dishwasher handle my 5-liter pressure cooker or deep kadhai used for Indian cooking?

Accepted Answer

It's a mixed bag based on real-world user feedback. The Intensive Kadhai program is designed for heavy-duty cleaning, but several Reddit users report that heavily burnt-on food (like dosa batter or curry stains) still requires pre-scrubbing. The 14-place setting can fit your pressure cooker, but you'll need to angle it carefully—many find they can only fit one large vessel per load alongside smaller items. If you regularly cook large quantities of Indian food, consider the Bosch SMS6ZKI01I variant with a dedicated heavy-duty cycle.

Question 2

The product says it fits "up to 80 utensils." Is that realistic?

Accepted Answer

That number counts small items like spoons and forks. For real Indian households with mix of large bowls, steel tiffins, and heavy pans, most users comfortably fit 40–50 pieces per load. TikTok reviewers often show that loading a full dinner set (plates, bowls, cups, plus cutlery) uses about 60% capacity. If you need to wash 80 utensils daily, you'd likely run two shorter cycles instead of one full load.

Question 3

How reliable is the WiFi connectivity for scheduling and remote control?

Accepted Answer

This is a common frustration point. The Bosch Home Connect app works well in stable network conditions, but multiple user reviews report frequent disconnections, particularly with 2.4GHz vs 5GHz router issues. Many have to reconnect the dishwasher after each router restart. For basic functions like starting a cycle remotely, it works fine. Advanced features like energy monitoring often glitch. If you're buying primarily for smart features, check if your home router supports strong 2.4GHz signals.

Question 4

Is it true that plastic containers don't dry well? What about steel utensils?

Accepted Answer

Yes, that's accurate. The inbuilt heater helps dry steel utensils well, but plastic containers (like lunch boxes and water bottles) often come out with water droplets. Users on YouTube recommend leaving the door slightly ajar for 10 minutes after the cycle ends, or selecting the "Extra Dry" option for better results on mixed loads. Steel utensils, kadhai, and glassware dry completely with no issues.

Question 5

This model costs more than Whirlpool or LG options. Is the premium worth it for an Indian kitchen?

Accepted Answer

It depends on your cooking habits. Bosch's stainless steel interior is widely praised for rust resistance with hard Indian water, and the quiet operation (44 dB) makes overnight washing possible. However, LG and Voltas Beko models offer dedicated "Indian utensil" programs with longer, hotter cycles that handle heavy cookware better. The Bosch wins on build quality and water efficiency; the competitors win on specialized Indian cooking features at lower prices. If tandoori pots or daily deep-fry kadhai are your norm, test a friend's machine first.
