Question 1

Is this cable truly waterproof and suitable for direct burial?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Based on extensive user feedback from outdoor and security camera installations, the cable features a thick LLDPE UV jacket designed specifically for direct burial and prolonged exposure to the elements. Many users on forums like Reddit have reported excellent performance through rain, snow, and sun without any signal degradation or jacket cracking.

Question 2

I need to power my security cameras. Is this cable good for Power over Ethernet (PoE)?

Accepted Answer

This cable uses 24AWG Copper-Clad Aluminum (CCA) conductors. It will carry data and lower-wattage PoE effectively for most home security cameras. However, for very long runs (like this full 200ft) or devices requiring high-power PoE++ (like some PTZ cameras), network professionals often recommend pure copper cable for optimal power efficiency. If your primary use is standard PoE cameras, this cable is a reliable and popular choice.

Question 3

How flexible is this 200ft cable for routing around corners?

Accepted Answer

For its durability, the cable is quite thick and stiff, which is a trade-off for its ruggedness. As noted in several installation videos, it's best for runs with gentle bends. If your path involves many sharp 90-degree turns or tight conduit, you may find it challenging to work with. Planning your route beforehand and using the included cable ties for neat, wide-radius loops is highly recommended.

Question 4

Will this work with my older router and devices that only have Cat5e ports?

Accepted Answer

Absolutely. This Cat6 cable is fully backward compatible with Cat5e and Cat5 equipment. You'll get a stable, fast connection up to the maximum speed your existing router and devices support. Upgrading to Cat6 cable future-proofs your installation for when you upgrade your other network hardware.

Question 5

What if the cable doesn't work for my setup? What's the return policy?

Accepted Answer

We stand by the quality of our cable. It comes with a warranty, and our customer service team is ready to assist with any defects or performance issues. If you're unsatisfied for any reason, please contact us through your order platform. We advise checking your planned route for tight spaces before installation, as returns are typically easiest for unused products.
