Question 1

Is the retractable footrest sturdy enough for daily use?

Accepted Answer

The pull-out footrest works best for occasional lounging—think weekend afternoons rather than all-day sitting. Some TikTok reviewers noted it feels wobbly under heavier weight, so we recommend keeping both feet flat or using it for light resting. If you’re a bigger person or plan to use the ottoman constantly, adding a small stool might be a smart upgrade.

Question 2

Will this chair survive the rain and sun for multiple seasons?

Accepted Answer

It’s built with weather-resistant materials, but it’s not completely waterproof. Many users say the teak finish fades slightly after a year of direct sun, and a few report minor cracking in extreme cold. For best longevity, store it in a shed or cover it during heavy storms. It’s a solid outdoor chair, not a heirloom piece.

Question 3

How difficult is assembly? I’m not handy with tools.

Accepted Answer

Assembly is the top complaint we see on Reddit—several people find the instructions confusing, and some screw holes don’t align perfectly. Plan for about 60–90 minutes, and have a Phillips head screwdriver handy. If you’ve built flat-pack furniture before, you’ll be fine; if not, maybe ask a friend to help.

Question 4

Is this chair comfortable for reading or napping for a few hours?

Accepted Answer

It’s decent for short sessions but lacks plush cushioning. The seat is firm and the back angle is upright rather than reclined. Users who love it pair it with a small seat cushion or use it for quick breaks—not full movie marathons. For napping, a zero-gravity chair might suit you better.

Question 5

Will this fit on a small balcony or in a tight patio corner?

Accepted Answer

Yes—it folds flat to about 6 inches thick, making it easy to slide against a wall or store under a bed. When open, it’s roughly the size of a standard Adirondack chair. Many apartment dwellers in our reviews love that it’s compact enough for tiny spaces but still feels like a real chair.
