Question 1

How many traps do I need, and where should I place them?

Accepted Answer

For a typical home, we recommend starting with 2-3 traps per closet, wardrobe, or storage area where natural fibers (wool, cashmere, silk) are kept. Don't forget under beds and near carpets! The 16-pack is designed to protect multiple rooms. Many users on Reddit suggest that for larger homes or serious infestations, you may need to use the entire pack initially and monitor to see if more are needed.

Question 2

Are these traps truly safe for my family and pets?

Accepted Answer

Yes. The traps are non-toxic and pesticide-free, using a pheromone attractant and a sticky glue board. They contain no harmful vapors, making them safe for use in closets with clothing, around children, and near pets. However, the adhesive is very strong, so place them out of direct reach to avoid curious paws or hands getting stuck.

Question 3

How long does each trap last before I need to replace it?

Accepted Answer

The pheromone attractant is designed to last up to 3 months. User experiences vary based on environment (heat and airflow can reduce effectiveness). A common sentiment in reviews is that they are highly effective for the first 4-6 weeks. For ongoing protection, we suggest replacing them quarterly or as soon as you notice a significant decrease in moths caught.

Question 4

I've caught moths, but I'm still seeing damage. What's wrong?

Accepted Answer

This is a crucial point mentioned by many savvy shoppers. These traps catch adult male moths, which helps break the breeding cycle. However, they do not kill the larvae (eggs and caterpillars) that cause the actual fabric damage. For a complete solution, you must combine trapping with thorough cleaning: wash or freeze fabric items, vacuum carpets and drawers meticulously, and consider complementary products like cedar or lavender for repellency.

Question 5

The traps are working, but they look unsightly. Any tips?

Accepted Answer

We hear you! A frequent TikTok tip is to place them in discreet locations—behind clothing on the closet rod, on the top shelf behind boxes, or under furniture edges. While they are not invisible, their primary function is to protect your belongings. Remember, a visible trap catching moths is a sign it's doing its job and alerting you to a problem.
