Question 1

Is the Clutch Pro actually the world's thinnest portable charger? How thick is it really?

Accepted Answer

The Clutch Pro is designed to be ultra-slim, measuring about 0.4 inches thick – similar to a standard smartphone case. While it's certainly one of the thinnest 5000mAh power banks on the market, we understand some TikTok and Reddit users felt the "world's thinnest" claim was a stretch. For comparison, it's significantly thinner than most competitors but won't disappear into a credit card slot. If you're looking for something nearly paper-thin, you might need a smaller capacity option.

Question 2

How reliable is the magnetic built-in cable? Will it detach easily?

Accepted Answer

The magnetic cable is designed for convenience, not rugged daily use. Many users love it for quick top-ups, but we've seen reports – especially on Reddit – that the magnetic connection can weaken over time, especially if you're frequently detaching it or using it with a thick phone case. For best results, use it with cases under 2mm thick. If the cable does loosen, you can still use any standard USB-C cable to charge, so you're never stuck.

Question 3

Does the Clutch Pro charge quickly? Will it work while I'm using GPS or streaming?

Accepted Answer

It delivers standard 5V/2.4A output, which is a solid slow-to-moderate charge – perfect for overnight top-ups or emergency boosts. If you're using intensive apps like GPS or streaming video simultaneously, charging speed will drop noticeably. Many Android users also note that fast-charge protocols (like Qualcomm Quick Charge) aren't supported. For heavy phone use while charging, we recommend a higher-wattage power bank.

Question 4

Is the TSA approval valid for all airlines and international travel?

Accepted Answer

The Clutch Pro's 5000mAh battery is under the 100Wh limit for most airlines, so it's TSA-friendly for US flights. However, a few European and Asian airlines have stricter rules on lithium batteries. We recommend checking your specific airline's policy before flying. The "TSA Approved" label means it meets US carry-on guidelines, not an international guarantee.

Question 5

How does the Clutch Pro compare to the Anker 511 or Mophie Powerstation? Should I choose it over those?

Accepted Answer

The Clutch Pro wins on novelty with its magnetic cable and slim design – great for minimalist travelers who want one fewer cord. But if reliability and charging speed matter more, many users on YouTube and Reddit steer toward the Anker 511 (thinner, faster, more durable) or Mophie Powerstation (larger capacity, better heat management). At a similar price point, those alternatives often score higher for long-term satisfaction, especially if you're a power user or travel internationally frequently.
