Question 1

Will this stand hold my 16–17” portable monitor or a tablet with a bulky case?

Accepted Answer

The Cooper TabHolder is best suited for standard-sized tablets (7–10”) and lightweight 15.6” displays. If you’re using a chunky case or a heavy 17” portable monitor, you may notice some wobbling or tipping, as many users on Reddit have reported. For larger devices, consider a stand with a wider base or metal construction.

Question 2

Does the 270° tilt let me switch between landscape and portrait?

Accepted Answer

No—this is a common misunderstanding from TikTok reviews. The 270° tilt refers to forward/backward angling (like leaning the screen toward you for drawing or viewing), not full rotation to portrait mode. If you need vertical orientation for reading or coding, look for a stand with a dedicated 360° swivel head.

Question 3

How do I adjust the height, and is it durable over time?

Accepted Answer

Height is adjusted by pressing a lock button and sliding the arm up or down. Some users have noted that the mechanism feels stiff at first and may loosen after a few months of regular use. For occasional height changes, it works fine—but if you adjust it daily, you might want a stand with a smoother gas spring or ratchet system.

Question 4

Can I return it if it doesn’t fit my device or I’m unhappy?

Accepted Answer

Most sellers offer a 30-day return window. However, make sure to check the specific seller’s policy before purchasing, as some third-party merchants have stricter terms. For warranty issues or defective parts, reach out to Cooper directly—several buyers mentioned they received replacements after reporting loose joints.

Question 5

Who is this stand actually best for?

Accepted Answer

It’s ideal for students, casual tablet users, and anyone needing a lightweight, travel-friendly stand for an iPad Mini, Kindle, or a 10–11” tablet. If you’re a professional with a heavy laptop-gaming hybrid or a creator who needs portrait rotation, this probably isn’t the best fit—you’d be happier with a pricier but sturdier option like the Lamicall or Twelve South Curve.
