Question 1

How long does the battery actually last, and can I use it while charging?

Accepted Answer

On a full charge, you can expect about 30–50 minutes of continuous use depending on the setting. It's enough for a quick stain check or small resin project, but not for extended cleaning sessions. The light can be used while plugged in via USB-C, which helps if you need longer runtime. Many TikTok users recommend charging it fully before your first use to get the most accurate battery gauge.

Question 2

Will this UV light work on dark carpets, or only light surfaces?

Accepted Answer

It performs best on light-colored or neutral carpets and fabrics. On dark or black surfaces, the UV contrast is much weaker, and pet urine stains may be harder to spot. Several Reddit users noted that for dark carpets, you'll need a stronger UV light or a dedicated pet stain detector. For light carpets, upholstery, or tile floors, this flashlight works surprisingly well.

Question 3

Is this durable enough for daily use, or will it break quickly?

Accepted Answer

The build is mostly plastic and feels solid for its size, but it's not rugged. A small but notable number of reviews mention the light failing after a few weeks, often due to the switch or charging port. If you're a casual user checking for stains once a week, it should hold up fine. For daily heavy use, some buyers recommend spending more on a metal-bodied UV light.

Question 4

Can I use this for curing UV resin for jewelry or crafts?

Accepted Answer

Yes, but only for small, thin resin projects like earrings, keychains, or coatings. The 395 nm wavelength works for most standard UV resin, but the light output isn't strong enough to cure large or thick pieces evenly. Many hobbyists on YouTube suggest using it for quick spot-curing or tack-free finishes, but keep a dedicated UV lamp for larger molds.

Question 5

What's the return or warranty policy if the light stops working?

Accepted Answer

The DARKBEAM brand typically offers a 30-day return window and a 12-month warranty against defects. If your unit fails early, customer support is generally responsive, though a few users noted having to provide proof of purchase. Always save your order confirmation or Amazon receipt. For faster service, many buyers recommend reaching out through the seller's Amazon storefront rather than email.
