Question 1

Is this fabric actually double-layered, and how thick is it really?

Accepted Answer

Yes, it's two layers of cotton gauze stitched together — but be aware it's on the lighter side. Many TikTok crafters describe it as "breathable but thin," so if you're expecting a plush, quilted feel, this isn't it. It's best for lightweight projects like swaddles, backdrop draping, or summer décor.

Question 2

Will one yard be enough for my project, and does it shrink after washing?

Accepted Answer

Each yard measures 39x53 inches, which covers most small DIY projects — a baby blanket, a curtain panel, or a photo backdrop. Expect mild shrinkage (around 3–5%) after the first wash, so pre-wash before cutting. Several Reddit sewists recommend buying an extra yard for safety.

Question 3

Some reviews say it feels cheap — is the quality consistent?

Accepted Answer

Honest answer: quality varies by batch. Some buyers praise the soft, crinkled texture; others report a stiff, scratchy feel. The 4.4-star average reflects that split. If softness is critical, order a small quantity first to test the hand-feel before committing to a larger project.

Question 4

Is it safe for baby items and sensitive skin?

Accepted Answer

It's 100% cotton, so it's generally gentle — but because thickness and softness vary, many parents on social media suggest washing it twice before use. For newborns or eczema-prone skin, consider a dedicated muslin swaddle brand instead, as this fabric is better suited to décor and crafts than daily baby wear.

Question 5

What if I'm not happy with it — can I return it, and how fast does it ship?

Accepted Answer

Shipping is frequently praised as fast, and the fabric usually arrives folded and ready to use. Returns depend on the seller's policy, so check the listing before buying. If the texture or color doesn't match your expectations, most shoppers report smooth refund experiences — just keep the original packaging.
