Question 1

My pool is 33 feet long and has a slight curve. Will the Dolphin Nautilus CC actually climb the walls and scrub the waterline?

Accepted Answer

The Nautilus CC does a decent job on smooth, straight walls, but many users on Reddit report it struggles with textured surfaces, curves, or steep inclines. It'll scrub the waterline on good days—but don't expect Olympic-level climbing. For best results, make sure the water chemistry is balanced and the filter is clean before each run.

Question 2

How often do I need to clean the filter, and is it really "top load access"?

Accepted Answer

Top load access is genuinely convenient—you pop the lid without flipping the unit over. That said, some TikTok owners joke about becoming "filter-cleaner experts." If you have fine debris like sand or pollen, expect to rinse the filter every 1–2 cycles. For leaves and larger junk, it stays cleaner longer. Pro tip: spray it with a hose from the inside out.

Question 3

I have a saltwater pool and the unit is for an above-ground pool. Will it corrode or malfunction?

Accepted Answer

Saltwater pools are fine with this cleaner—it uses corrosion-resistant materials. The bigger concern is cable length. For a 33-foot pool, the standard 40-foot cable usually works, but measure your actual distance from the outlet to the farthest corner. Users have complained about the cord snagging on ladders, so consider a cable clip to keep it tidy.

Question 4

What's the warranty like, and is the company easy to deal with if it breaks down?

Accepted Answer

The brand offers a 2-year warranty on parts and labor, but some community feedback suggests the claims process can be slow. A few users on YouTube reported waiting weeks for replacement motors. To avoid headaches, register your product immediately after purchase and keep the receipt. If you want stronger support, consider the S200 model at a similar price point.

Question 5

Is this the best value for someone who just wants a simple "set and forget" cleaner?

Accepted Answer

If you have light to moderate debris and a straightforward pool shape, yes—it's a solid entry-level pick. But if you're hoping to avoid all manual cleaning, you might be disappointed. Think of it as a reliable assistant, not a full-time butler. For heavy sand or daily use, reviewers often suggest spending a bit more on a model with finer filtration and better navigation.
