Question 1

Will this strap wrench work on smooth, polished pipe without slipping?

Accepted Answer

One reviewer reported it worked on a 3/4" smooth oil rubbed bronze shower arm pipe only after wrapping a strip of 1/4" neoprene around the pipe, as it slipped without it. Another reviewer said it gets a good bite with no slippage experienced. The listing also states the no-skid pattern design makes the bite tighter and not easy to slip.

Question 2

Does the strap damage or scratch the surface being worked on?

Accepted Answer

The listing states the woven polyester strap provides a firm grip without scratching the pipe surface. One reviewer noted the strap does seem to damage/fray fairly easily, though it held up and did not break.

Question 3

Is the strap long enough for larger objects like an 8-inch cap?

Accepted Answer

The listing gives a strap length of 99 cm/39 inch. One reviewer who needed the long strap to go around an 8-inch locking cap found the strap too soft and slippery, and had trouble keeping it in place.

Question 4

Is this wrench good value for the money?

Accepted Answer

Multiple reviewers described it as good value, with one calling it "decent for the money" and another saying it is cheaper than others and good value for money. One reviewer said it has nothing to envy compared to more expensive brands.

Question 5

Does it work well in tight or confined spaces?

Accepted Answer

One reviewer said it fits in tight places and is perfect for removing the water separator on their Kubota L3302, noting the strap thickness is thin enough for tight places. The listing also states the strap wrench works in tight confined areas compared with ordinary pipe wrenches.
