Question 1

How hands-off is it really? Will I still need to babysit it every day?

Accepted Answer

For most users, it's remarkably autonomous. The self-emptying base can hold about 60 days of dust, and the self-refilling water tank lasts up to 30 days of mopping. The mops wash and dry themselves after each run. Daily interaction isn't needed, but you will periodically need to clean the mop pads (every 2-4 weeks), refresh the water, and replace consumables like dust bags. Think of it as weekly or bi-weekly light maintenance instead of daily.

Question 2

I have a mix of carpets and hard floors. How well does the mop lifting and carpet detection work?

Accepted Answer

The 12mm auto-lift is generally effective for medium to high-pile carpets. However, based on user reports, it can sometimes miss very thin rugs or bathroom mats. On standard carpets, it reliably lifts the mops to avoid getting them wet. For best results on mixed floors, many users recommend running a vacuum-only cycle first on carpets, then a vacuum-and-mop cycle for hard floors.

Question 3

Is the AI obstacle avoidance good enough to avoid pet accidents and cords?

Accepted Answer

Yes, its AI and dual-camera system is one of its most praised features. It consistently avoids shoes, socks, and pet toys. While it's excellent with solid objects, it's important to note that very thin cables or dark-colored piles (like pet waste) on dark floors can occasionally be missed. Most tech reviewers and users on YouTube confirm it's among the best in its class for avoidance, but picking up clutter beforehand is still a good practice.

Question 4

A common complaint on social media is the mop pads detaching. Is this a major issue?

Accepted Answer

This is a noted pain point for some users, typically occurring during transitions from hard floor to carpet. Eufy has released updated mop pad designs to improve attachment. Ensuring the pads are clicked in securely before a run minimizes the issue. Many owners find it a minor, occasional nuisance compared to the benefit of automated mopping, but if your home has frequent floor-type transitions, it's something to be aware of.

Question 5

How does it compare to a Roomba j7+ or Roborock S8 Pro Ultra? Which is right for me?

Accepted Answer

It's a strong competitor in the premium tier. Here’s a quick breakdown:
* Vs. Roomba j7+: The Roomba is often seen as more reliable on carpets and has a simpler app, but its mopping is an add-on (not integrated) and less advanced. Choose Roomba for superior carpet focus and proven navigation.
* Vs. Roborock S8 Pro Ultra: Roborock often has stronger, vibrating mopping and slightly better object avoidance, but at a higher price. The X10 Pro Omni wins on value, offering a very similar hands-off experience (washing, drying, refilling) for less.
The X10 Pro Omni is an excellent all-rounder for those who want a complete, integrated vacuum *and* mop experience without paying the absolute top price.
