Question 1

Will this HDMI-to-VGA adapter work with my Xbox, Roku, or Raspberry Pi?

Accepted Answer

It should work with most devices that output HDMI, but compatibility isn’t universal. On Reddit, several users reported success with Raspberry Pi 3 and 4, as well as Roku streaming sticks. However, some Xbox One owners experienced blank screens—likely due to HDCP handshake issues. For gaming consoles, we recommend checking your device’s manual for VGA support or trying a powered adapter instead.

Question 2

Does it support audio? I’m using it with a monitor that has speakers.

Accepted Answer

No—HDMI-to-VGA adapters are video-only by design. HDMI carries both audio and video, but VGA only transmits visual signals. If you need sound, you’ll need a separate audio cable from your source device to your monitor or speakers. Many TikTok reviewers mentioned this as a common oversight, so keep it in mind before buying.

Question 3

The VGA connector feels loose on my monitor—is this normal?

Accepted Answer

Some users have noted that the VGA end can be a bit wobbly, especially on older ports. This usually doesn’t affect the signal if the adapter is seated properly, but we’ve seen complaints about picture dropouts when cables are accidentally moved. If you’re setting up a permanent connection, consider using a VGA screw-lock adapter or a bit of electrical tape for extra stability.

Question 4

Are all three adapters identical, or is one meant as a spare?

Accepted Answer

They’re all identical and fully functional—this is simply a 3-pack for extra value. You can use one for your main setup, keep another in a laptop bag, and stash the third as a backup. A common use we’ve seen from office IT admins is distributing them across multiple workstations.

Question 5

How long do these adapters typically last? I’ve read about early failures.

Accepted Answer

Most users report several months of trouble-free use in regular desktop setups. However, a small number of reviews mention static lines or complete failure after 3–6 months—especially in high-usage environments like conference rooms. If you’re buying for a critical setup, the 3-pack gives you a handy spare. Our return policy covers faulty units, so reach out to us if you encounter issues early on.
