Question 1

Is the cable really too short, and can I detach it if it gets damaged?

Accepted Answer

The included cable is 1 meter (about 3.3 feet) long, which some Reddit users with larger desk setups found short, requiring a simple and inexpensive USB-C extension. The cable is not detachable from the headset itself, which is a design choice for durability, but the connectors to your device (USB-C to USB-A, or 3.5mm) are removable.

Question 2

How does the comfort hold up for people with larger ears or who wear glasses?

Accepted Answer

The memory foam ear cushions are a major highlight for most users, offering excellent comfort for long sessions. However, a few users with larger ears mentioned their ears can touch the inside driver cover. For glasses wearers, the soft foam generally seals well, but comfort can depend on your glasses' temple thickness. If you have particularly large ears, checking the return policy might be wise.

Question 3

Is the DTS Spatial Audio hard to set up on PC, and is it worth it?

Accepted Answer

On PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and via the 3.5mm jack, you get standard stereo sound. For the full DTS Headphone:X spatial audio on PC, you need to download the free "NGENUITY" software from HyperX and enable it there—it's not automatic. Once enabled, many TikTok and YouTube reviewers note it significantly improves directional awareness in games like *Call of Duty* or *Apex Legends*, making it worth the quick setup.

Question 4

The microphone sounds almost too good in reviews. Does it really block out background keyboard clicks?

Accepted Answer

Yes, the clarity of the 10mm mic is one of its most praised features. It uses a bidirectional pattern designed to pick up your voice clearly while minimizing noise from the sides and rear, like keyboard typing. While no mic eliminates all background noise, feedback consistently mentions teammates no longer complaining about mechanical keyboard sounds.

Question 5

I'm coming from a HyperX Cloud II. Is the Cloud III a worthy upgrade, or should I look at alternatives?

Accepted Answer

This is a common question. The Cloud III offers a more refined design, a fantastic mic, and improved comfort over the Cloud II. However, the Cloud II had a detachable cable and included a USB sound card for 7.1 surround. The Cloud III uses software-based DTS. If you want a detachable cable or hardware surround, the Cloud II or a SteelSeries Arctis Nova might be better. If you want the latest in comfort, mic quality, and a durable aluminum frame, the Cloud III is an excellent choice.
