Question 1

Are these official Jura tablets, and will using them affect my machine's warranty?

Accepted Answer

Yes, these are genuine Jura-branded cleaning tablets (part #25045). Using manufacturer-recommended maintenance products like these is the best way to maintain your machine's performance and will not void your warranty. Many users in online forums stress that sticking with OEM parts is crucial for long-term reliability.

Question 2

I'm confused about when to use these. Are they for daily cleaning, descaling, or something else?

Accepted Answer

This is a common question! These tablets are specifically for the automated cleaning cycle, which removes coffee oils and milk residue from the internal brewing system. They are not a descaler for limescale. Your Jura machine will prompt you when it's time for a cleaning cycle (typically after every 200 coffees or so, or when the milk system light comes on). For descaling, you'll need a separate product like Jura's own descaler.

Question 3

How many cleaning cycles will one 25-count box provide?

Accepted Answer

Each full cleaning cycle uses one tablet. Therefore, one box provides for 25 cleaning cycles. Given that most home users run a cycle every few weeks, a single box typically lasts well over a year, which many reviewers find offers good long-term value for maintaining their investment.

Question 4

I've seen cheaper, "universal" cleaning tablets. Are these really worth the premium price?

Accepted Answer

Based on extensive user feedback from Reddit and other communities, the consensus is clear: Jura machines are highly engineered and perform best with the brand's specific tablets. Users who tried generic alternatives often reported issues like leftover residue, unfamiliar smells, or the machine not completing the cycle properly, leading them to switch back. For peace of mind and guaranteed results, the OEM tablets are strongly recommended.

Question 5

Do these work with all Jura models, including older ones?

Accepted Answer

Yes, the Jura 3-Phase Cleaning Tablets (25045) are compatible with all Jura automatic espresso machines and coffee centers that have a programmed cleaning cycle, which includes virtually all models sold for home use over many years. If your machine has a "Cleaning" program in its menu, these tablets are designed for it.
