Question 1

Is the color accurate to the photos online?

Accepted Answer

The Dark Olive Green is beautiful but can vary slightly with lighting. In bright, natural light, it appears as a true olive green. In lower light or north-facing rooms, it can pull more towards a muted sage or gray-green. Many TikTok users love this chameleon-like quality, but if you need an exact shade match, we recommend viewing it in your room's lighting before finalizing your decor.

Question 2

How thin is the rug, and will I need a separate pad?

Accepted Answer

It's a low-profile, thin flat-weave rug, not a plush, padded one. This makes it ideal for layering, sliding under furniture, or for use in apartments. For added comfort and to prevent slipping on hard floors, a thin rug pad is recommended (and required for use with our Washable Rug Pad). If you desire significant cushioning, this may not be the best fit.

Question 3

Does it really not shed, and is it machine washable?

Accepted Answer

While labeled "non-shedding," some initial shedding is common for the first few weeks, as noted in several user reviews. Regular vacuuming will manage this. Yes, it is machine washable! Use a cold, gentle cycle in a large-capacity machine and air dry. Avoid heat. The stain-resistant treatment handles common spills well—just blot promptly.

Question 4

Is the sizing accurate for a standard 9x12 space?

Accepted Answer

The vast majority of customers find the sizing works perfectly. However, as with all rugs, there can be minor variations (typically within an inch). It's always a good practice to measure your space and leave a small border. If you need a rug to fit wall-to-wall with absolute precision, you might consider custom sizing from another brand.

Question 5

Who is this rug best suited for?

Accepted Answer

This rug is a fantastic choice for renters, apartment dwellers, and anyone looking for a soft, stylish, and washable rug at a great value. It's perfect for bedrooms, low-to-medium traffic living rooms, and dining areas where its flat weave makes chair movement easy. It's less ideal for those seeking a thick, cushioned playmat or for very high-traffic commercial spaces.
