Question 1

Is the rug true to size, and how do I get it to lay flat after unrolling?

Accepted Answer

While most customers find the size perfect for the space, a small number have reported the rug being 1-2 inches under the listed 9x12 dimensions. We recommend checking your exact area needs. To flatten it, simply unroll it in the opposite direction and let it relax for 24-48 hours. For stubborn corners, placing heavy books or furniture on them does the trick, as many Reddit users have successfully done.

Question 2

Does the rug shed a lot, and will it stop?

Accepted Answer

Yes, you should expect an initial shedding period. This is common with high-pile faux fur rugs. Owners on TikTok recommend a thorough vacuuming (without the brush roll) for the first few days to remove loose fibers. The shedding decreases significantly after the first 1-2 weeks with regular care. If you have major dust allergies, you may want to consider a lower-pile alternative.

Question 3

Is it really washable, and how do I clean it?

Accepted Answer

The rug is made from washable materials, but its 9x12 size makes machine washing impractical for most home units. The "washable" feature is best for smaller spills and spot cleaning. For general maintenance, regular vacuuming (on a suction-only setting) is key. For stains, a gentle carpet cleaner or a mix of mild detergent and water works well. Always blot, don't rub, and let it air dry completely.

Question 4

Is it safe on hardwood or tile floors without a pad?

Accepted Answer

For safety, we highly recommend using a non-slip rug pad, especially on smooth surfaces like hardwood, tile, or laminate. Many reviewers on social media noted that the rug can slide without one. A quality pad not only prevents slips but also adds cushioning and helps protect the rug's backing from wear.

Question 5

Who is this rug best suited for, and where should I avoid placing it?

Accepted Answer

This rug is a fantastic, cozy addition to low-to-medium traffic areas like bedrooms, home offices, or in front of sofas. It's beloved by renters and parents for its softness and style. We don't recommend it for high-traffic hallways, entryways, or under dining tables, as the plush pile can flatten and show wear more quickly in these spots. For those spaces, a more durable, low-pile rug would be a better long-term choice.
