Question 1

Are these speakers really suitable for a standard bookshelf, and how much space do they need?**

Accepted Answer

While marketed as shelf speakers, many users note they are substantial. We recommend measuring your space: each speaker is approx. 35 x 20 x 30 cm (HxWxD) and weighs about 6.5 kg. They need a deep, sturdy shelf or dedicated stands for stability and optimal sound, as they require some rear clearance for the bass reflex port.

Question 2

I'm new to separates. What do I need to power these, and do they come with cables?**

Accepted Answer

You will need a separate stereo amplifier or AV receiver. The "170W" refers to power handling, not included power. A quality amp from 30W per channel upwards works well. They do not include speaker cables, so you'll need to purchase those separately. If unsure about compatibility, our support team can help.

Question 3

How is the build and finish quality in person? I've seen mixed comments online.**

Accepted Answer

The overall build is robust and well-regarded for the price. The Mocca finish is a warm, dark brown veneer that most find very attractive. As noted in some user reviews, very occasional minor cosmetic inconsistencies in the veneer can occur, but this does not affect the stellar audio performance or structural integrity.

Question 4

I've read about a "break-in" period. Is that real, and what should I expect when I first turn them on?**

Accepted Answer

Yes, this is a common observation. The speakers' drivers and suspensions loosen with use. Initially, the sound may seem a bit restrained. Most users report a significant positive change after 20-30 hours of play at moderate volume. Be patient—the detailed, lively sound praised in reviews fully emerges after this period.

Question 5

Who are these speakers best suited for, and how do they compare to more expensive brands?**

Accepted Answer

They are perfect for the listener seeking audiophile-grade detail and soundstage without a luxury price tag. Reviews consistently highlight they outperform many competitors costing twice as much. They excel with jazz, classical, and acoustic music. If your primary goal is room-shaking bass or you have extremely limited space, you might consider a system with a subwoofer or more compact satellites.
