Question 1

Does this case work with the iPad Air 11-inch M4 (2024) and iPad Pro 11-inch (4th gen)?

Accepted Answer

Yes, it's designed specifically for iPad Pro 11-inch (1st through 4th gen) and iPad Air 11-inch (M4, M3, M2, 2026/2025/2024) plus the 10.9-inch Air 5th and 4th gen. However, TikTok reviewers noted that camera bumps on newer Air models can create a slight gap when closed—nothing that affects function, but worth knowing if you want a perfectly flush fit.

Question 2

How strong are the magnets—can I actually use this on my lap?

Accepted Answer

This is the most common question we see. The magnets are strong enough for desk use and stable typing on flat surfaces. But based on user feedback, they're not rock-solid on laps or soft surfaces. A number of buyers mentioned the iPad sliding down during couch sessions. If you mostly work at a desk, you'll be fine. If you're a mobile worker, you may find it frustrating.

Question 3

The trackpad seems small—is it actually usable for daily work?

Accepted Answer

It works for basic navigation, scrolling, and clicks, but it’s not a full trackpad replacement. Several Reddit users described it as "good enough for emails and web browsing" but "frustrating for detailed editing or design work." The main issues are accidental palm touches and the size feeling cramped for larger hands. Consider using it with a Bluetooth mouse for heavy productivity.

Question 4

How long does the backlight battery last, and can I turn it off?

Accepted Answer

The backlight runs off the iPad's battery via the Smart Connector, so there’s no separate charging. It auto-dims after about 15 seconds of inactivity to save power. You can turn it off completely through a function key on the keyboard. Some YouTube reviewers mentioned the auto-off timer is shorter than they'd like, but it’s a power-saving trade-off that most find manageable.

Question 5

Is this a good alternative to Apple's Magic Keyboard, or should I save up for the real thing?

Accepted Answer

Think of this as “80% of the experience at 40% of the price.” The typing feel is surprisingly close, and the detachable design is a nice bonus. Where it falls short: lap stability, trackpad precision, and overall build rigidity. If your budget is tight or you need a lightweight travel case, this is a solid pick. If you rely on your iPad as a full laptop replacement—especially for creative work or all-day typing—you’ll likely be happier saving for the Apple version or a Logitech Combo Touch.
