Question 1

Will this remove a deep scratch I can feel with my fingernail?

Accepted Answer

For best results, this product is designed for light to moderate surface scratches and scuffs. If you can feel a deep groove with your fingernail, it likely extends through the clear coat. While the paste can minimize the appearance, it may not completely erase it. Many users on forums suggest it's perfect for swirl marks and light defects, but for deeper damage, a touch-up paint pen or professional repair might be necessary.

Question 2

Is it safe for all car paint colors, including black or matte finishes?

Accepted Answer

Yes, it is water-based and generally safe for all clear-coated paints. However, based on social media feedback, users with very dark or matte finishes should take extra care. Always test on a small, inconspicuous area first. Apply minimal pressure and ensure you buff it off completely to avoid any potential hazing, which is more noticeable on darker surfaces.

Question 3

What's included in the kit, and will I need to buy anything else?

Accepted Answer

The kit includes the scratch remover paste and microfiber cloths. For the best experience, some Reddit users recommend having a few extra high-quality microfiber towels on hand for the final buffing stage to achieve a flawless, streak-free shine. Otherwise, the kit is complete and ready to use.

Question 4

How long do the repairs last? Is this a permanent fix?

Accepted Answer

The repair is semi-permanent. It works by gently polishing the clear coat to level the surface around the scratch, which is a lasting correction. However, it does not replace missing paint. The restored area will have the same durability as your car's surrounding paint and will last for years, provided you wash and wax your vehicle regularly.

Question 5

I'm not a car expert. Is this easy to use for a complete beginner?

Accepted Answer

Absolutely! It's designed for DIY use. The key is to follow the instructions: apply a small amount, rub with moderate pressure in a circular motion for 60-90 seconds, and then thoroughly buff off the residue until clear. As many YouTube tutorials show, a little patience and elbow grease yield fantastic results on light scratches. It's a very satisfying first step into car care.
