Question 1

I see "Packaging May Vary" on the listing. How can I be sure I'm getting an authentic Optimum Nutrition product?

Accepted Answer

This is a common and valid concern. ON occasionally updates its label design for branding, but the formula inside remains identical and is produced under strict quality controls. To ensure authenticity, purchase from authorized retailers like Amazon (sold/shipped by Amazon.com) or major supplement stores. The product's seal should be intact upon arrival.

Question 2

Is this really better or more convenient than the creatine powder, especially considering the price difference?

Accepted Answer

The creatine molecule itself is identical in both the capsules and the popular micronized powder. The choice boils down to convenience versus cost. As many Reddit users highlight, the capsules offer ultimate portability and zero mixing—perfect for travel or a quick dose at the office. However, the powder offers a significantly lower cost per serving. If budget is your main concern, the powder is the better value. If convenience is your priority, the capsules are worth the premium.

Question 3

I'm new to creatine and worried about bloating or stomach upset. Is this a common issue with these capsules?

Accepted Answer

While Optimum Nutrition's micronized creatine is designed for better absorption and is well-tolerated by most, individual reactions can vary. A small segment of users on forums do report mild digestive discomfort. This is a known possible side effect of creatine monohydrate in general. To minimize risk, you can start by taking one capsule (1250mg) daily for the first week to assess tolerance before moving to the full two-capsule serving. Staying well-hydrated also helps.

Question 4

The label says 200 capsules, but the serving size is 2 capsules. What's the actual supply, and is it keto-friendly?

Accepted Answer

You've spotted an important detail! One bottle provides 100 servings (200 capsules ÷ 2 per serving). Each serving delivers 2500mg of pure creatine monohydrate. Yes, it is keto-friendly. The capsules contain only the creatine and necessary capsule material (like gelatin), with no added sugars, flavors, or carbohydrates, making them an excellent choice for strict ketogenic or low-carb diets.

Question 5

Who would you say these capsules are the best fit for?

Accepted Answer

These capsules are an ideal fit for three main types of users: 1) The On-the-Go Athlete or Professional who needs a no-mess, portable option for travel or work. 2) The Beginner who trusts the ON brand and prefers the simplicity of capsules over measuring powder. 3) Anyone on a Strict Diet (like keto) who requires a pure, unflavored supplement without hidden carbs or sweeteners. If you're a budget-focused home user who doesn't mind mixing a drink, the powder version might be a more suitable alternative.
