Question 1

How is the fit? Should I size down?

Accepted Answer

Many reviewers, especially those with average or smaller hands, recommend sizing down for a snug fit. The gloves have a plush interior, so a slightly tighter size ensures optimal warmth without being too loose. Check our detailed size chart and consider ordering a size smaller than your usual if you're between sizes.

Question 2

Can I use my smartphone touchscreen while wearing these gloves?

Accepted Answer

While the gloves are exceptionally warm, the thick material does not allow for touchscreen compatibility. If using your phone frequently in the cold is a priority, you may want to consider touchscreen-compatible liner gloves underneath or a different style.

Question 3

Are they truly waterproof for activities like skiing or shoveling snow?

Accepted Answer

Yes! The waterproof membrane is highly effective against snow and slush, making them a top choice for winter sports and chores. However, as some users in heavy, prolonged rain have noted, no glove is 100% impervious in all conditions. They are designed for cold-weather moisture like wet snow, not as rain gloves.

Question 4

They seem bulky. Will I lose all dexterity?

Accepted Answer

The 3M Thinsulate and thick fleece are designed for maximum warmth, which does add volume. They are perfect for activities where warmth is the primary goal. For tasks requiring fine finger movement (like tying intricate knots or handling very small items), you'll experience reduced dexterity. They break in and become more flexible with use.

Question 5

Who are these gloves best suited for?

Accepted Answer

These gloves are ideal for anyone facing bitterly cold, dry, or snowy conditions. They're loved by winter commuters, casual skiers, snow shovelers, and festival-goers. If your main priorities are extreme warmth and comfort in cold weather, these are an excellent value. If you need a sleek, form-fitting glove for detailed work, you might prefer a thinner, technical option.
