Question 1

Does this deshedding tool work on short-haired dogs and cats?

Accepted Answer

Yes, reviewers report it works well on slick short-haired dogs and on a small shorthair cat, though one cat owner found the large size too big and uncomfortable for an average-sized cat. One reviewer with a German Shepherd said it did nothing for their dog.

Question 2

Is the brush gentle on the pet's skin, or does it pull and irritate?

Accepted Answer

Several reviewers say it does not irritate the skin or pull like other undercoat brushes, and one notes it gently removes dead hair. However, one cat owner reported the fur became thin and patchy after use, so caution is advised.

Question 3

How much hair does it actually remove?

Accepted Answer

Reviewers describe removing large amounts of undercoat, including a tennis-ball-sized ball of fur from a small shorthair cat and large piles from a husky and a German Shepherd mix after only a few minutes each. The listing states it removes up to 95% of shedding hair within a minute.

Question 4

What size is the brush and what is it made of?

Accepted Answer

The listing describes a 5 inch stainless steel brush with a non-slip wooden handle, weighing about 249 g, and it comes with a protective cover.

Question 5

Is there any guarantee if the tool does not work for my pet?

Accepted Answer

The manufacturer's listing offers a lifetime guarantee, stating that if you have any problems at any point you can return it for a replacement.
