Question 1

Are these drives actually 8GB each, and how does formatting affect usable space?

Accepted Answer

Each drive is labeled 8GB. After you format it for your operating system, you’ll see a little less usable space. It’s normal for USB drives to show slightly less than the labeled capacity after formatting.

Question 2

Will these work with Windows and macOS without extra software?

Accepted Answer

Yes. They’re plug-and-play USB 2.0 drives. No special software is required, but you may want to format them for cross‑platform use (e.g., FAT32 or exFAT) to share files between Windows and Mac.

Question 3

How fast are the transfers, and should I expect consistent speeds?

Accepted Answer

These are USB 2.0 drives. Real-world speeds are modest and can vary between units. Some users report slower or inconsistent transfers, so they’re best for small-to-moderate file transfers rather than large, time-sensitive ones.

Question 4

Is the metal key design durable, and does the cap stay secure?

Accepted Answer

The metal shell gives a premium feel and solid portability, but a few units have been noted for misaligned connectors or loose caps. Treat them gently, and store them in the included pack or a small case to protect the connectors.

Question 5

What if I get a defective drive or want to return it?

Accepted Answer

Return and warranty policies depend on the seller. Check the listing for the specific return window and warranty terms. If you encounter a corrupted drive or other issues, contact the seller promptly for guidance on replacements or refunds.
