Question 1

Are these truly 64GB drives, and why does my computer show less available space?

Accepted Answer

Yes, they are 64GB drives. It's standard for any storage device to have slightly less usable space than advertised. This is because a portion of the capacity is used for the file system and manufacturer formatting. You can typically expect about 58-60GB of free space, which is normal. If a drive shows significantly less (e.g., 32GB), it may be faulty.

Question 2

How fast are the transfer speeds? Can I use them for large video files?

Accepted Answer

These are USB 2.0 drives, which are slower than modern USB 3.0 standards. Based on user reports, transferring large files like movies can be time-consuming. They work best for smaller documents, photos, and school presentations. If you frequently move large files, many reviewers suggest investing in a USB 3.0 drive from a major brand for significantly faster speeds.

Question 3

What are they best used for? Who is this multipack really good for?

Accepted Answer

This multipack is praised for its value and convenience for specific uses: students needing multiple drives for different classes, parents or teachers distributing files, or anyone who wants inexpensive drives for non-critical, temporary storage. They're perfect when you need several "disposable" drives rather than one high-performance unit.

Question 4

What is the build quality like, and what if one of the drives in the pack fails?

Accepted Answer

The drives have a simple plastic casing. While fine for light use, they may not withstand heavy physical stress. It's not uncommon for one drive in a multipack to fail earlier than others, which is a trade-off for the low price. We recommend checking all drives when you receive them and not storing your only copy of irreplaceable data on them.

Question 5

Are these compatible with my TV, car, or game console?

Accepted Answer

They should work with most devices that have a standard USB port and support reading from USB mass storage devices (like many smart TVs, car stereos, or PlayStation/Xbox consoles). However, compatibility can vary by device model. For best results, format the drive to FAT32 (which these come as) using your computer before using it with media players or consoles.
