Question 1

How big is this door stopper compared to typical doorstops?

Accepted Answer

The manufacturer lists each stopper as 6.5'' (L) x 2.36'' (W) x 2.6'' (H) and 0.88lb, described as bigger and heavier than most doorstops on the market. Reviewers also note most doorstops are half this size and that it is an excellent size for a variety of threshold heights.

Question 2

Will it hold a heavy or oversized door open, even in wind?

Accepted Answer

One reviewer used it to hold oversized French doors going to a patio and reported it held the doors even in the wind. The listing also states it provides sufficient height and weight for larger clearances or certain heavy-duty door requirements.

Question 3

Is the stopper heavy and solid, or hollow and flimsy?

Accepted Answer

Reviewers describe it as very heavy, well made, and solid rubber, with one noting it is heavier because of dense rubber. The listing states it is made of high-quality solid rubber and is built to withstand heavy use.

Question 4

Will it scratch my floor or my door?

Accepted Answer

A reviewer reported it is soft so it won't scuff the floor or the door. The listing also states the textured surface and bottom square provide friction to prevent slips, and that it will not scratch the floor and doors.

Question 5

What types of floors and door gaps does it work on?

Accepted Answer

The listing says it works on regular floors as well as wood, stone, ceramic, carpet, and concrete, and that its height and weight accommodate larger clearances. Reviewers confirm it works with multiple height gaps and with a higher threshold on a French door.
