Question 1

Is this litter box big enough for my large cat? What are the interior dimensions?

Accepted Answer

This is a common and important question. The interior usable space is approximately 22" L x 16" W x 17" H. Based on numerous user reviews, most cats up to 12-13 lbs use it comfortably. However, owners of very large breeds (e.g., Maine Coons over 14 lbs) often mention their cats find it a bit cramped. If your cat is on the larger side, you might want to consider a model specifically designed for bigger cats.

Question 2

Does it really control odor, and how often do I need to empty the waste drawer?

Accepted Answer

Yes, effective odor control is one of the most praised features in reviews. The sealed waste compartment and included carbon filters do an excellent job of containing smells. For 1-2 cats, most users find they only need to empty the drawer every 7-10 days. The included smart app will also notify you when the drawer is full, so you'll never be caught off guard.

Question 3

What's the deal with the "Health Monitoring" in the app? Is it accurate?

Accepted Answer

Great question! The health monitoring tracks your cat's weight and litter box visit frequency, alerting you to significant changes that *could* indicate an issue. It's a helpful trend-spotting tool, but it's important to know it is not a veterinary diagnostic device. As some tech-savvy users have noted, it cannot detect specific illnesses like UTIs. Think of it as a useful supplementary insight, not a replacement for professional care.

Question 4

My cat is skittish. How loud is the cleaning cycle, and are the safety sensors reliable?

Accepted Answer

The cleaning cycle produces a moderate whirring sound, similar to a quiet kitchen appliance. Most cats acclimate to it quickly, especially since it starts after a delay. The safety features are highly rated—infrared sensors will immediately pause the cycle if a cat enters or even reaches a paw in. Many reviewers with playful kittens and curious cats have confirmed its reliability, giving them significant peace of mind.

Question 5

What type of litter works best, and how bad is the litter tracking issue?

Accepted Answer

It works best with clumping clay litter. Lightweight or crystal litters can sometimes cause issues with the rake mechanism and tend to track more. Regarding tracking: while the included litter mat helps, some scatter is inevitable, as noted in many social media reviews. To minimize this, we recommend using a high-sided litter mat around the unit and avoiding overly fine, sandy litters. It reduces daily scooping dramatically, but a quick sweep around the box may still be part of your routine.
