Question 1

Will this cutting board damage or dull my kitchen knives?

Accepted Answer

The stainless steel side is designed to be knife-friendly. Most users report a smooth cutting experience without noticeable dulling. However, some chefs with very high-end, razor-sharp blades prefer softer materials like wood or rubber for absolute edge preservation. For everyday home knives, it performs excellently.

Question 2

Is it really dishwasher safe, and will it warp or hold odors?

Accepted Answer

Yes, it is fully dishwasher safe on any cycle. A major benefit users on TikTok and Reddit rave about is its complete odor and stain resistance—no more garlic or fish smells. Unlike some plastic boards, it will not warp or discolor from dishwasher heat.

Question 3

How does the weight and noise level compare to a wooden board?

Accepted Answer

This board is substantially heavier and louder than wooden or plastic boards. Its solid steel construction provides great stability but can be cumbersome to move and store. The cutting sound is a distinct "clang." If a lightweight, silent board is a top priority, this may not be the best fit.

Question 4

I've seen comments about scratching. Is that normal?

Accepted Answer

Yes, fine, superficial scratches on the stainless steel surface are normal with use and do not affect performance or hygiene. Many users note it gives the board a "well-loved" patina. If you prefer a board that maintains a flawless, mirror-like finish, you might consider a non-metal alternative.

Question 5

Who is this cutting board ideally suited for?

Accepted Answer

It's perfect for home cooks who prioritize easy cleanup, supreme hygiene (great for meat and pungent foods), and a stable, non-slip surface. It's a favorite among meal-preppers and entertainers for its dual-sided utility. It's less ideal for those with very limited storage, sensitivity to noise, or collectors of artisan knives seeking the absolute gentlest cutting surface.
