Question 1

Will this fit my specific Glock model, and is installation truly easy?

Accepted Answer

Talon Grips are precision-cut for specific models. Please double-check the product title for your exact firearm (e.g., Glock 17, 19X) before purchasing. Installation is a straightforward peel-and-stick process, and most users find it simple. A common tip from YouTube tutorials is to use a hairdryer to slightly warm the grip and frame for maximum adhesion and ease of alignment on your first try.

Question 2

How does the texture feel, and will it be too rough for everyday carry?

Accepted Answer

We offer two main textures based on user preference. The Granulate (Pro) provides maximum traction and is favored by competitive shooters, but some find it abrasive against skin. The Rubber texture offers excellent, comfortable traction that most concealed carriers prefer. As noted in many Reddit discussions, if you carry inside-the-waistband (IWB), the Rubber version is often the recommended choice to prevent clothing wear.

Question 3

How durable is the adhesive, especially when exposed to sweat or gun cleaners?

Accepted Answer

The adhesive is designed for high performance and holds up exceptionally well to sweat and moisture, a benefit frequently highlighted in user reviews. However, direct and repeated exposure to strong chemical solvents (like certain gun cleaners) can degrade the adhesive over time. For longevity, simply apply the grip to a clean, degreased frame and avoid spraying cleaners directly onto the grip's edges.

Question 4

Can I remove the grip if I don't like it, and will it damage my frame?

Accepted Answer

Yes, Talon Grips are designed to be removable. Peeling them off slowly and carefully is key. It's common for some adhesive residue to remain on the frame, which can be cleaned off with a product like Goo Gone or isopropyl alcohol with a bit of gentle scraping. This does not harm the polymer frame of your Glock.

Question 5

How does this compare to using hockey tape or other DIY grip solutions?

Accepted Answer

Talon Grips provide a consistent, professionally cut solution that forms to your frame without bulk or unraveling. While alternatives like hockey tape are popular for their cost and reusability, our grips are praised for offering superior, permanent-feeling traction without the mess or need for re-wrapping. It's the preferred choice for users seeking a clean, OEM-looking upgrade that performs reliably in all conditions.
