Question 1

Is the surge protection feature reliable, and how can I tell if it's working?

Accepted Answer

The TESSAN power strip includes built-in surge protection to safeguard your connected electronics. It's important to note that, unlike some industrial-grade surge protectors, this model does not have a physical indicator light or a reset button. Many users find its protection sufficient for home and office use with standard electronics. For critical equipment or areas with frequent power surges, a dedicated surge protector with a visible status indicator might be a better choice.

Question 2

How fast are the USB-C and USB-A ports for charging? Can they fast-charge my phone or tablet?

Accepted Answer

The USB ports provide reliable charging for phones, tablets, and other small electronics. The USB-C port supports charging, but it's not a high-wattage GaN charger. As noted in some YouTube reviews, while perfect for maintaining charge or overnight charging, you may not get the absolute fastest possible charging speeds for modern smartphones, especially if all USB ports are in use simultaneously. For daily convenience, they are excellent, but for dedicated, super-fast charging, your device's original charger is still the best bet.

Question 3

The vertical design looks great, but is it stable on a smooth desk?

Accepted Answer

The tower design is praised for saving space, and most users find it very stable. However, a few users with very smooth surfaces (like glass desks) have mentioned it can feel top-heavy if you use all the outlets with large, heavy power adapters. For optimal stability on slick surfaces, we recommend distributing the heavier plugs towards the bottom outlets. Its weighted base provides good overall balance for typical use.

Question 4

Is this suitable for high-power appliances like space heaters, hair dryers, or kitchen gadgets?

Accepted Answer

With a 3600W (16A) rating, it can handle significant load, but caution is advised. It's perfect for multiple low-to-medium wattage devices like computers, monitors, lamps, and chargers. We do not recommend using it with a single, continuous high-wattage appliance (like a 1500W space heater) as this can create a safety hazard and potentially trip your circuit breaker. Always check the wattage of your appliances and ensure the total does not exceed the strip's rating.

Question 5

Who is this power strip really best for?

Accepted Answer

Based on countless reviews, this is a favorite for people drowning in cords! It's ideal for home office setups, gaming stations, and entertainment centers where you need to power and charge many devices in a small footprint. It's also great for apartments or rooms with limited wall outlets. If your main need is certified high-speed charging or ultra-portability for travel, you might consider specialized alternatives. But for organized, high-capacity power in a fixed location, this TESSAN strip is a top-rated solution.
