Question 1

How much sound will these panels actually block or reduce?

Accepted Answer

These panels are designed to reduce echo and reverberation in a room, not to block noise from passing through walls. Many TikTok users note they work best for taming harsh room reflections (e.g., in a home office or small studio). If you need significant soundproofing (blocking TV noise or street sounds), consider thicker acoustic foam or mass-loaded vinyl instead.

Question 2

Do the panels match the listed dimensions, and how much coverage will I really get?

Accepted Answer

Each panel measures 47.2" x 23.6" (120x60 cm), and the set of four covers 31 ft² on paper. However, you'll lose some coverage due to gaps between panels or cuts around outlets/obstacles. Real-world feedback suggests you'll effectively cover about 25–28 ft². For precise planning, measure your wall space and account for 0.5–1” spacing per panel.

Question 3

What’s the best way to install these without damaging my walls?

Accepted Answer

For renters or temporary setups, use heavy-duty removable adhesive strips (like Command strips rated for 5+ lbs per panel). For permanent placement, construction adhesive (Loctite PL Premium) works far better than the included glue. Avoid using the nails provided on plaster or thin drywall. Many users recommend mounting onto furring strips if your wall is textured or uneven.

Question 4

I’m smelling a chemical odor—is this normal?

Accepted Answer

A slight glue or wood finish smell is common out of the box. Let the panels air out in a well-ventilated area for 24–48 hours before installing. A handful of Reddit users say the smell dissipates completely within a week. If the odor persists or is very strong, contact the seller for a replacement (could indicate a manufacturing defect).

Question 5

Who is this product best for—and who should skip it?

Accepted Answer

Best for: homeowners or renters who want to add a modern wood-accent feature wall, plus cut down on room echo for video calls or casual listening. Skip if: you need true noise cancellation, have zero DIY experience, or want a perfect seamless look without gaps. For an easier install, alternatives like peel-and-stick slat panels or felt-covered acoustic tiles may be a better fit.
