Will this UGREEN adapter work with my iPhone 17 or Galaxy S25 for calls and music?

Question

Accepted Answer

Yes, it’s fully compatible with iPhone 17, S25 series, and most USB-C devices. The built-in DAC chip ensures clear music playback. However, note that this adapter is audio-output only—it does not support inline microphones, so you won’t be able to use headset mics for calls. Many TikTok users confirmed it works perfectly for music and videos on both Android and iOS, but for calls, you’ll need to use your phone’s built-in mic or buy a separate adapter with mic passthrough.

### Q2: I’ve seen some reviews say the connection gets loose or crackly over time. Is the build quality reliable?
A2: The majority of users praise the braided cable for its durability and tangle-resistance. However, a small number (about 5-10%) report that the USB-C connector can feel slightly loose after a few months, and the audio may cut out if the adapter is jostled. To maximize lifespan, avoid bending the cable sharply at the connector joint. For most users, the build quality holds up well for daily commutes and desk use—it’s a solid value at this price point.

### Q3: Does this adapter support high-impedance headphones for a better listening experience?
A3: It works best with standard consumer headphones and earbuds (under 32 ohms). Audiophiles on Reddit and YouTube note that it doesn’t have enough power to drive high-impedance headphones (like 250-ohm studio monitors) to loud, distortion-free levels. For casual listening with common earbuds or gaming headsets, the DAC chip delivers clean, clear audio with zero hiss—just don’t expect to replace a dedicated headphone amp for serious music production.

### Q4: Can I charge my phone while using this USB-C to 3.5mm adapter?
A4: No, this adapter does not support passthrough charging. It’s a single-purpose audio cable, so you can’t plug in a charger at the same time. If you need to charge and listen simultaneously, you’ll want UGREEN’s “USB-C Audio + Charging Splitter” instead (sold separately). Many users on TikTok and YouTube mention this as a common point of confusion, so check your use case before buying.

### Q5: What’s UGREEN’s return or refund policy if the adapter stops working after a month?
A5: UGREEN offers a 12-month warranty and a 30-day hassle-free return policy for defective units. If your adapter has issues (e.g., sudden static, no audio, physical breakage), you can contact their support team through Amazon or their official site. Most users report a quick replacement process—especially if you keep your order receipt. Note that minor wear and tear (like fraying from rough use) may not be covered, so handle the cable with care.
