Question 1

Does the Vantrue S1 Pro Max record in 4K on both the front and rear cameras?

Accepted Answer

Yes. The manufacturer states it captures 4K front and 4K rear footage at 30/FPS with 155°+160° lenses, and a customer confirmed it is one of the few front-and-back dual 4K dashcams on the market with very good image quality.

Question 2

How is the night vision and license plate clarity?

Accepted Answer

The listing says it uses Dual STARVIS 2 sensors with Dual HDR and PlatePix Tech to sharpen license plate clarity in low light, and a customer reported that PlatePix genuinely improves the sharpness of plate numbers and that clarity holds up at night with headlights coming from behind.

Question 3

Does the camera hold up in hot weather?

Accepted Answer

One customer reported using it for over 6 months and said it withstands the Texas heat, but another reported the front camera heating up and a parasitic voltage drop in under a year, so experiences differ.

Question 4

How difficult is the installation?

Accepted Answer

The listing notes the 6-meter rear cable and easy installation, and customers generally described installation as straightforward, though one found it a bit awkward to mount.

Question 5

Does it have WiFi, GPS, and voice control?

Accepted Answer

Yes. The listing states it has 5GHz WiFi for fast video transfers to your phone, built-in GPS that logs route, speed, and location, and hands-free voice commands such as "Take a photo."
