Question 1

Is this spray safe and effective for cats, or is it just for dogs?

Accepted Answer

Yes, it is formulated for both dogs and cats. Many multi-pet households in reviews mention using it successfully on their cats for minor itching and hot spots. Always avoid spraying directly on the face; apply to a cloth first for sensitive areas.

Question 2

My pet has a raw hot spot. Will this spray sting or hurt them on application?

Accepted Answer

This is a common concern. The medicated formula can cause a brief stinging sensation on open or broken skin, which may startle some pets. Many users on social media recommend applying a small test spot first. For very raw areas, applying with a gentle cotton pad instead of spraying can offer more control and may be less startling.

Question 3

How does the smell of this spray compare to other products? Should I be concerned?

Accepted Answer

The spray has a distinct, medicinal odor typical of many clinical-care formulas, which some owners find strong. This smell is often mentioned in reviews as a trade-off for its effectiveness. It does dissipate but can linger on fur for a few hours. If you or your pet are highly sensitive to smells, you may want to apply it in a well-ventilated area.

Question 4

Can I use this as a long-term solution for my pet's chronic skin allergies?

Accepted Answer

While highly effective for providing fast, temporary relief from symptoms like itching and hot spots, it is not a cure for underlying allergies. Many satisfied customers use it for flare-ups, but those with pets suffering from severe, chronic conditions often note that a veterinarian should address the root cause with solutions like prescription medication or dietary changes.

Question 5

I've seen comments about the spray bottle clogging. Is this a common issue and how can I prevent it?

Accepted Answer

Some users have experienced nozzle clogs, usually due to product residue drying. To prevent this, wipe the nozzle tip clean with a damp cloth after each use and store the bottle upright. If it clogs, running the tip under warm water or using a pin to clear the opening typically resolves it. The manufacturer also recommends shaking the bottle well before each use.
