Question 1

How durable is the powder-coated finish for outdoor use? Will it rust?

Accepted Answer

The forged iron brackets are powder-coated for corrosion resistance. Based on user experiences, they perform well in typical conditions for multiple seasons. However, in harsh, year-round climates (like coastal salt air or heavy snow), some users have reported the finish may eventually chip or show minor rust. For extreme environments, we recommend checking the brackets annually and applying a touch-up paint if needed.

Question 2

Are these truly "heavy duty"? What's the realistic weight limit?

Accepted Answer

While sturdier than many flimsy alternatives, it's best to think of them as "sturdy decorative" brackets. They reliably hold standard 10-inch plastic nursery pots, lanterns, and smaller bird feeders. However, as noted in several reviews, the advertised 50-lb limit is for distributed weight. For very heavy ceramic planters or large feeders, users recommend opting for a solid cast iron bracket. These are perfect for creating a beautiful, cohesive display with typical hanging plants.

Question 3

What size screws do I need for installation?

Accepted Answer

You'll need two screws per bracket. The pre-drilled holes are designed for screws with a shaft diameter of approximately 1/8 inch. Many users find that standard #10 or #12 wood screws sometimes require you to gently widen the holes with a drill bit for a perfect fit. Be sure to use screws appropriate for your wall material (wood, masonry, etc.).

Question 4

I see you sell a 6-pack. What if I receive a damaged bracket or an incomplete set?

Accepted Answer

We're sorry to hear if that happens! While our packaging is designed to prevent damage, occasional shipping issues or packing errors can occur. If you receive a bent bracket, one with a flawed finish, or fewer than six, please contact our customer support team directly via your order confirmation email. We'll promptly send a replacement for the affected piece at no cost to you.

Question 5

What are these brackets best used for? Who are they ideal for?

Accepted Answer

These brackets are a fantastic, value-packed solution for gardeners and homeowners looking to add stylish vertical space. They're ideal for: creating a uniform herb garden on a sunny wall, hanging a series of petunias or ferns on a porch, displaying lightweight lanterns, or holding small wind chimes. They're a hit with DIYers who appreciate the hand-forged look without the hand-forged price and are perfect for projects involving multiple, lightweight to medium-weight items.
