Question 1

What’s the size and mounting option, and will it fit on my desk or shelf?

Accepted Answer

It’s a compact, fanless metal switch designed for desktop or small-office setups. For exact dimensions and mounting options, please check the product listing—it's intended to be unobtrusive and easy to place on a desk or shelf.

Question 2

How many devices can I power at once, and what’s the total PoE budget?

Accepted Answer

The switch provides a total PoE budget of 78W across its PoE+ ports (802.3af/at). You can power multiple devices, but if you’re maxing out several high‑power cameras or APs at once, you may exhaust the budget.

Question 3

Do I need to configure anything, or is it truly plug-and-play?

Accepted Answer

It’s designed to be plug‑and‑play and unmanaged—no setup required. Just connect your PoE devices and your network will be ready. If you need VLANs or QoS, you’d need a different, managed switch.

Question 4

Will heat or noise be an issue under heavy use?

Accepted Answer

It’s fanless, so you’ll enjoy silent operation. Under heavy PoE loads, the enclosure can get warm; performance may throttle if you push the PoE budget near its limit. For typical home/office use, it’s comfortable and quiet.

Question 5

What about warranty, returns, and who this is best for?

Accepted Answer

Most retailers offer a standard warranty (often 1 year) with a return window that varies by seller. This switch is ideal for small offices, home labs, and users who want quiet, reliable power delivery to cameras and APs without extra features. If you need advanced management or a larger PoE budget, consider a bigger or managed model.
