Question 1

Does the Zevo trap work on all types of flying insects, like mosquitoes and large house flies?

Accepted Answer

Based on extensive user feedback, the Zevo is most effective against small flying insects like fruit flies, gnats, and drain flies. Its blue and UV light is a strong attractant for these pests. However, many reviews note that larger house flies and mosquitoes are less consistently drawn to it. For best results with larger flies, placement in a darker, enclosed space (like a pantry or bathroom) is critical.

Question 2

Is it truly safe to use around my pets and young children?

Accepted Answer

Yes, safety is a key benefit users highlight. Unlike bug zappers, there is no electrical grid or harmful chemicals. It uses a non-toxic, sticky cartridge to trap insects. As it's just a light and glue, it's safe for use in bedrooms, kitchens, and living areas with pets and kids. Just be sure to place it out of direct reach to avoid curious hands and paws from touching the sticky surface.

Question 3

Where is the best place to put the trap for it to actually work?

Accepted Answer

Placement is everything! Social media tips and reviews overwhelmingly agree: it works best in darker, enclosed areas. Think under the kitchen sink, inside a pantry, in a bathroom, or in a garage. In a large, brightly lit room, its effectiveness drops significantly. For a kitchen, placing it near the fruit bowl or trash can (in a somewhat shaded spot) yields the best results.

Question 4

How long does a refill cartridge last, and is the ongoing cost worth it?

Accepted Answer

A refill cartridge typically lasts 4-6 weeks, depending on the severity of your insect issue. The "mess-free" cleanup is a major plus for owners—you simply replace the full cartridge. While some users on forums mention the refill cost, most find the value in the convenience and effectiveness against gnats. It's often compared to the cost and hassle of constantly replacing fly paper or cleaning DIY traps.

Question 5

My unit stopped working after a few months. What should I do?

Accepted Answer

We're sorry to hear that. While most users report long-lasting performance, a small number have mentioned issues like the light burning out. First, ensure it's plugged into a working outlet. If it's unresponsive, please contact Zevo customer support directly. They are known for helpful service and may assist with troubleshooting or warranty options. Many reviewers have had positive experiences resolving such issues through their support team.
