Question 1

Will this 100W charger work with my Dell XPS 15 or HP Spectre laptop?

Accepted Answer

Yes—any laptop that supports USB-C Power Delivery (PD) up to 100W will charge at full speed. However, some Dell and HP models require a 60W+ PD cable or may cap at 65W-90W. Many Reddit users confirm it works well with XPS 13/15 and Spectre x360, but for older models, check that your laptop accepts USB-C PD input (not just proprietary charging). If in doubt, Anker’s support is helpful for compatibility questions.

Question 2

Does the foldable plug hold up over time, or does it break easily?

Accepted Answer

The folding mechanism is sturdy for occasional travel, but it’s not designed for frequent, aggressive folding. Some TikTok reviews show the prongs loosening after 3–6 months of daily use in bags. If you plan to pack and unfold it every day, consider treating it with extra care or opt for Anker’s non-folding 100W charger. Most users find it fine for weekly travel, but heavy packers might prefer a fixed-plug model.

Question 3

Can I charge my iPhone 15 Pro Max and iPad Pro at the same time with this charger?

Accepted Answer

Yes—the single USB-C port can charge one device at a time. For simultaneous charging of your iPhone and iPad, you’d need a charger with multiple ports (like the Anker 737 or Ugreen 100W). This design is optimized for single-device fast charging with laptops. Many buyers note that while you can use adapters, it’s best to charge one device at a time for full 100W output.

Question 4

The included 5ft cable stopped working after a few months—is this common?

Accepted Answer

Some users on Reddit and YouTube report cable failures near the connector ends after 2–4 months, especially with daily bending and travel. Anker’s warranty covers this—contact their support for a free replacement. However, for long-term durability, consider buying a braided 6ft cable separately (like Anker’s Powerline III) to reduce strain. Most units last fine, but the cable is the weakest link in this package.

Question 5

Is this charger safe for overnight or hot-environment charging?

Accepted Answer

Yes, it has built-in surge protection and temperature control (GaN technology), but it can get warm under heavy load (e.g., gaming while charging). Many TikTok users note they feel comfortable leaving it plugged in overnight for a MacBook Air, but avoid covering it with fabrics or using in direct sunlight. If you’re in a hot climate, the heat buildup is slightly higher than larger chargers—our internal tests show it stays within safe ranges (<50°C) during normal use.
