Question 1

Is this kit truly complete for a beginner, or will I need to buy anything else?

Accepted Answer

The kit is an excellent starter pack with the core essentials: polishes, a lamp, and basic tools. However, based on user feedback, for a seamless experience you may want to have pure acetone for removal, high-grit nail files/buffers, and isopropyl alcohol for nail prep and cleansing. These are common household or inexpensive beauty items, but they aren't included in the box.

Question 2

How long do the manicures last, and is the included lamp strong enough?

Accepted Answer

When applied with proper prep and thin coats, many users report salon-quality wear for 2-3 weeks without chipping. The included lamp does work, but reviews note it cures slower than professional models. For best results, cure each layer for the full recommended time (often 60-90 seconds). If you plan to do gel nails frequently, some enthusiasts eventually upgrade to a more powerful lamp for faster curing.

Question 3

Are the polish bottles full-sized?

Accepted Answer

No, the gel polishes come in 5ml bottles, which are smaller than standard salon-sized bottles (typically 15ml). This is a common point mentioned in reviews. The "68Pcs" count includes all items like glitters, tools, and decals. The smaller size is great for trying a vast color range without commitment, but if you have a favorite shade you use constantly, you may need to repurchase it or look for a larger size.

Question 4

Is this kit suitable for someone who has never done gel nails before?

Accepted Answer

Absolutely! This is one of the most praised aspects of the kit. It's designed with beginners in mind. The instructions are straightforward, and having 35 colors allows for practice without pressure. We recommend watching a few beginner gel application tutorials on YouTube for tips on thin coats and proper cuticle care to ensure your first try is a success.

Question 5

Some online reviews mention the polish can be thick or streaky. Is this true?

Accepted Answer

A small number of users, particularly regarding lighter pastel and metallic shades, have noted a thicker consistency that requires careful application. The key is to use very thin layers—this is crucial for any gel polish to cure properly and avoid wrinkling. If a polish feels too thick, gently rolling the bottle (not shaking) to warm it up can help improve the flow. The majority of colors, especially the classics and darks, are reported to have smooth, highly-pigmented application.
